I can't find the info anywhere. I googled it 5 times. All I see is this rumor spread around on underground PS3 sites quoting the same info. This almost sounds like an assumption based on the devs words assuming they said these things.
You should wait for more credible info/announcments.

Its true though, what Halo offers and makes the game appealing to casuals and the hardcore is the Arcade feel KZ2 lacks.
*Jumping into a Warthog with two buddies is a experience hardcore kids and casual adults alike can not find elsewhere.

Halo is iconic, KZ2 is over hyped.
KZ2 hype is forced, Halo is recognized.
Just don't see it with no large scale battles and no co-op/vehicle use/game types/weapons.
